The 2017 Emerging Leaders Build will take place on Saturday, August 26th from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at 3716 S Knox Ct. Sheridan, CO 80236
Habitat Young Professionals’ Emerging Leaders Build is the exclusive fundraising event that celebrates 30 up-and-coming young leaders in the community:
- It’s a unique opportunity to network with like-minded community leaders;
- Young professionals have an opportunity to forge new bonds that may lead to business opportunities; and
- Participants establish greater involvement with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver.
This year's VIP speaker is Joshua Hunt-- Habitat Denver board member and leader in the community.
As Founder and CEO of TRELORA, Joshua is changing the way homeowners buy and sell real estate. His innovative service model provides an expert agent who ranks in the top 1% nationally for successful deals closed, a custom technology platform for full transparency and control, and a simple price structure that has protected TRELORA clients from paying tens of millions of dollars in real estate agent commissions.
Joshua has been a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver since 2003, and he joined the board in January 2017. He has served on Habitat’s Development Committee and managed the sale of several Habitat properties pro bono. Joshua enjoys construction sites and “seeing the pride of new volunteers as they discover they can do far more than they thought.”
On the build site light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Clothing appropriate for manual labor is recommended, but no prior construction experience is required!
On Thursday, August 24th there will be a networking happy hour to honor the Emerging Leaders of 2017. A 2017 ELB roster will be distributed that highlights each participant's bio and contact information to easily help you make any professional connections!
To apply or nominate another Emerging Leader (40 years old or under) in the community, please email Molly McNerney at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Emerging Leaders Build is a fundraiser for Habitat’s homeownership program. Each participant is asked to help support the project financially in addition to swinging a hammer out on site! Applicants are asked to set a $500 donation goal for the event, working toward the Habitat Young Professionals umbrella goal of $20,000. Every donation goes towards building affordable homes with Habitat Denver.
Emerging Leaders can fundraise toward the $500 donation goal. In the past, participants have used some or all of these methods:
· Requesting donations from personal and professional network
· Requesting sponsorship from your employer, either wholly or partly
· Self-funding as a way to give back to the community using our easy peer-to-peer fundraising platform
We are here to help you every step of the way and can plug you into fun, easy ways to raise support from your company and community.
Does your company want to associate itself with community-building, rising stars, and a highly-focused audience of civic-minded young professionals?
(Yes, of course)
Great! There are sponsorship opportunities available at the Emerging Leader’s Build.
Your company's support is a commitment to empowering hard-working families to achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through home ownership. For more information, contact Molly McNerney at email@example.com. Thank you for your consideration and generosity!
