This year, we are planning three special HYP Build Day Events and introducing peer-to-peer fundraising! This is similar to signing up for a 5k community run where you fundraise for the benefit of the organization. We, at HYP, are introducing this same concept to our build days. Once you sign up for a build day, you can create your very own personalized peer-to-peer fundraising page. Proceeds of your donations will support the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project coming to Denver in October! For more information, visit Habitat Metro Denver's website.
In short, the Carter Work Project is a 7 day blitz in October to raise a community of homes in a Denver neighborhood. The top earners for each build will be awarded prizes in the form of tickets to the much anticipated Carter Work Project Gala where you will be in the company of President Jimmy Carter, his wife and many more people of influence.
In order to participate in a build there is a $50 minimum that must be raised via the peer-to-peer platform by the date of the build. All money must be collected before the build because the top earners and winners of the Gala tickets will be announced at the Happy Hour following the Build. The first 16 people to raise $350 (for their specific build date) will autotmatically receive 1 ticket to the Carter Work Project Gala which includes a concert by a soon to be determined national headliner. The top earner from each build will be awarded 1 seat ticket to the Gala dinner and a concert with a minimum of $500 to qualify. The top earner from all three build dates will receive a +1 ticket to bring a guest.
